Global Product Manager (Haemoglobin) (m/w/d)

About the Job:

This opportunity is to join an experienced Global Product Management team focused in the IVD market
space. The product portfolio is well established in the diabetes and haematology areas, with a strong
focus on portfolio expansion through new product development. The position is global with regular travel
to the UK and the US so the successful candidate could be located anywhere but being local to the
German manufacturing facilities would be of benefit as there will be a requirement to interact with the
Product Support and Development teams regularly.

      

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Continuously monitor market needs and requirements, taking into account future technology /developments, competitor products/services and the changing requirements of regulatory bodies.
  • Produce and own the Product Business Plan.
  • Strategically manage and own the product / product portfolio lifecycle from conception to product withdrawal.
  • Manage the product creation process by chairing multi-disciplinary business teams.
  • Provide sales support material i.e. develop and produce training material (Audiovisual presentations, product ordering procedures, technical data sheets, handbooks etc.)
  • Plan, organise and participate in product release presentations – both internal and external to the company.
  • Monitor and control product development budgets.
  • Produce technology Road Maps for the product / product portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain pricing policies for the product.
  • Develop and monitor critical success factors for the product in line with the product business plan.
  • Plan and manage the product release.
  • Develop the after sales support policy for the product – Service philosophy, Spares listing, recommended test equipment, maintenance programmes etc.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent, ideally in business or a science-related focus.
  • Considerable experience as a Product Manager or similar role with focus on medical devices.
  • Understanding of Point-of-Care in general.
  • Beneficial would be an understanding of the Haemoglobin/Haematology Point-of-Care market.
  • Experience of International marketing.
  • Able to travel a minimum of 40% of the time including weekends.
  • Be confident, smart in appearance, able absorb complex information and articulate this information to prospective customers in a clear and precise manner.
  • A candidate who has been marketing internationally for 10 years but has no degree will also be
  • considered.
